What is Systems Engineering in Aeronautics and Astronautics

Aerospace technology is a key part of our daily lives. One example is high-speed transportation using aircraft, communication using satellites, broadcasting, weather forecasts and so on. As seen in salvage rescue and medical activities of remote islands, technologies in the aerospace field are also helpful in situations where we protect our lives and wealth.

And with the aerospace technology, human activity range and exploration scope today are far from the Earth and extending to the space station and even out of the solar system.

In this department of Aeronautics and Astronautics,we will educate on the development of aircrafts and spacecraft and further on the elemental and system design technologies that are indispensable for realizing them.

We aim to nurture engineers and researchers who have a wide range of applied capabilities and wide viewpoints not only in Aeronautics and Astronautics field but also widely contribute to the developing next-generation science and technology.
